Citroën could have same anomaly in accelerator pedal than Toyota.
Several days ago it was published that the world's largest car producer, Toyota, had made millions of defective units, due to a problem in the accelerator pedal.
The mistake cost the review of more than two million units in the U.S. and the Japanese brand has indicated that it will also review another two million vehicles in Europe.
However, this serious defect has been collateral damage to two major French automotive sector firms, Peugeot and Citroën. And is that all three brands share a car manufacturing plant in Europe, so French companies have decided to make a public call to check 97.000 vehicles, as prevention, because they could have the same anomaly in the accelerator.
It just affects to one model from each company, namely Peugeot 107 and Citroën C1.
